glad it can help out... its likely dry so just make sure to get a good grip and slowly wiggle side to side, not too hard slowly making it loose. also use the other hand to support the back side at the same time

for that you will need the crux or other interface that will allow you to retain the sync and all other oem functions. not sure which they are but crux will tell you what each kit does. getting the proper kit should allow you to keep all oem features and add a few more

@@esqu3l3to ...Hi...so yesterday i bought a pair of Kicker 47KSC6504 KS-Series 6.5" 2-Way Coaxial Speakers at cnd.tire for $71.99 on sale. Got home, took off my front Xtrail door panels. I reused the stock speaker mounts. Using your advice, i modified with a pair of old wire clippers. They easily cut thru the plastic, i removed the old speakers and inserted the new speaker wires thru the hole that use to hold the old speaker wire connecter . Used 4 screws to mount my new speaker into the old speaker mount, used the speaker connections/crimped them...blah blah..it all fit perfectly, door panel went back on easily . I did add some cheap sound deadening . I had a roll kept from 5 years ago. Not true sound deadener, it's actually a sticky foam/foil wrap for air conditioning pipes. The speakers sound great, i get very good bass now and can crank up the volume to 35++ with no distortion. I may replace the rear door speakers with same brand i just bought, but the sound is very good as is now. The reason i have great sound now is because i also swapped out the factory nissan stereo 3 years ago for this >>JVC KW-R950BTS CD receiver. Now $199 at cnd tire, but back then it was on sale for about $140........i am no car stereo expert. But what i learned over the years is that upgrading to better car speakers will only be worthwhile IF you remove the stock car stereo (unless you have some new fancy vehicle with an awesome stereo ). I buy stuff on sale, and i detest buying too expensive car stereos and speakers. I live in Vancouver, we have a lot of thieves/junkies and just in general, thieving pricks. Too many smash and grabs , i personally had my own vehicles broken into about 5 times in the past, had my tires and rims stolen, got car keyed, vandalized etc. So no more fancy car stereos for me. yes, it does. as long as you allow apple carplay access to your messages (even auto read) they will display and you can view them while using carplay. Its not the radio that allows it or not its carplay or android auto. I can confirm android auto does so im sure so will carplay. just go to your carplay setting to allow it to.

all the other steering wheel controls will work as they do, replacing your radio will not affect that. unless you have additional features from your car that are displayed or controled on the oem radio it wont be an issue not getting the steering wheel adapter.

it likely doesnt have an ignition wire, like most vw cars. what you need to do is wire it to the fuse panel on a switched (ignition) line.

I got mine from the Canadian side, not sure if it will list differently from the US side or other countries. I got the oem part numbers and was able to see them in the list if compatible direct replacement, thats how I knew it would fit mine. do the same.

sounds like you have your power wires wired incorrectly. the yellow wire (constant 12v) need to be connected to the 12v on the radio. the red wire (switched 12v) is what turns the radio on/off when you start or shut the car off. did you use an adapter harness? check those two wires and make sure they are connected to the right wire

have you checked the wiring of the radio? it could be a faulty ground or poeer wire. either your ground or switched power wire (red). try that and also check your radio fuse.

I got mine from amazin, first I searched through scosche/metra to match what I needed. once you know your part number then you can search on amazon or a local shop.

thanks! the kit ai used is universal and it capable of retaining the oem camera if you have one. Not sure why it would need to be specific to that pioneer unit. I always recomment using adpater harnesses to avoid cutting up oem harnesess.

you dont always need the steering wheel controls tho its nice to have when you are driving and not have to reach for volume up/down nor have to use your phone to track up/down

I know, I hate having to dismantle half the car just to replacw the radio and fit an entire dash since they make the climate control all into one.

for the oroginal sub to work you will need an adapter that connects to the factory harness and allows to control and power on the sub.

thanks! its the camera that I use, due to the snow brightness in the background that makes it dim when I film. I cant always tell how bright or not it will be and hard to tell in the small lcd screen. summer time filming is a lot better and would be nice to have a garage as well but for now it is what it is. trying to find a better ways to film.

I didnt want to take my changes and crack or break the panel. wasnt hard to remove the two screws and better safe than sorry

the installation kit I bought on amazon and the screen (radio) I had from my previous vehicle. you can buy it at a local car audio shop or online as well

which radio? as long as it has carplay (wired or wireless) then it will not matter. make sure that it does support it tho, some of these only support newer models.

most new head units will have most of what you need. keep in mind of yours has a oem backup camera you will need a proper adapter harness for it to work
